In order to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of ideological and political education for students and to ensure a solid freshman orientation, and in accordance with the requirement for school leaders to deliver lectures, Zhao Zhihou, the Secretary of the school’s Party Committee, delivered a lecture titled “Understanding University Life” to the undergraduate class of 2024 during the Situation and Policy Course at 7:00 PM on November 18.
At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Zhao shared a heartfelt song titled “If the Moon Hasn’t Come Yet”(若是月亮还没来) with the students. The song, with its simple lyrics, tells the story of the struggles of ordinary people, reflecting the daily emotional states of many students and resonating with their experiences.
In the core section of the lecture, Mr. Zhao delved into four key topics: “What is a university student?”, “How to set small goals?”, “The role of perseverance”, and “The importance of self-cultivation”. These topics were explored in depth.
The content of this lecture was rich and engaging, offering students a refreshing and unique ideological and political education session. At the same time, it provided valuable advice for students’ future academic and career planning. It is hoped that through this event, students will develop a healthy and positive mindset, and gain inspiration for their future planning.
